A memoir of childhood
The one who spoke at the table was Malach
Pointing his spoon at Nora
And asks her name again
Above the bed ?
His name is J.C.
Whatever J.C. was for
Nora was fond of the chamber pot
With roses on it
And maidens cavorting in the glen
With yellow birds drawn in
And rough-winged swallow around the handle
She felt always strange to pee into a pot decorated
But moving her head up above the bed straight to the picture
She could hear J.C. whisper: « Pee in that, sister»
J.C. is looking at you with carefull sense
Above the bed ?
His name is J.C.
Whatever J.C. was for
Nora was fond of the chamber pot
